Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to all.

Well you know what Santa says. You goils get the gifts and we guys get the credit card statements.

GOD Bless my Senior Forums family.

It's twenty-five minutes past midnight here, so my Christmas greetings to you all is somewhat belated. Our guests have all left, the mountain of washing up has been sorted, and everything put back in it's place. The friends that we have had to join us for our Christmas Day meal have been very generous with gifts, it's so humbling. Such friendship is a treasured gift that we are fortunate to enjoy.

Tomorrow, or to be precise, later today, we will be joining a couple who were married fifty-two years ago, on December 26th, it will mean another huge plateful of festive food, I won't be standing on the bathroom scales for a while. My wife and I have exchanged some wonderful gifts, but the best gift of all is the lady herself. She is still in recovery from surgery but, one day at a time, her health improves.

Hope you had a lovely Christmas @DebraMae and @horseless carriage 🥂 :D
Thanks Holly it was wonderful, eventually. The shopping for provisions, the catering, cooking and the timing of it all was something of a stressful balancing act. Thankfully we got it right, so much so that our guests stayed on far longer than planned. But between you and me, when we head back from visiting the anniversary couple later today, we are stopping off at one of the best pub/restaurants around here and booking a table for Christmas 2025.
Here's wishing that you too had a fabulous Christmas Day.
