Thought I'd ask those of us who were 'middle kids', if they ever felt like they were invisible.
For me in my early years, it seemed that I was somewhat overlooked sometimes.
Older brother got pretty cool stuff for Christmas and my younger brother was always the one who got
the most attention.
Older brother at Christmas: Electric Guitar
Younger brother: tons of play trucks and toys
Me at Christmas: Underwear, socks and maybe a new ball mitt.
Wasn't till I reached High School, did it dawn on me that being invisible was a pretty cool thing!
By then, the shine had faded from my older brother who was rebelling just a little.
My younger brother was becoming a handful.
Yours truly just kept a low profile, good enough grades to satisfy my parents
and got to Surf anytime I wanted.
To hear my two brothers talk, I was the favorite and my parents hung on my every word.
Where they even in the same house?
Of course I play along and remind them that I was indeed their favorite!
