Thanks, I will try to see if I can do it. I know about copy and paste. I have trouble on this laptop. It is not a computer problem. It is me, just not good with tech stuff. LOL

I had migraines from the age 12 and they were a nightmare. Ice packs and a cold room always helped me. Then at age 50 I had a massive stroke. I had a brain aneurysm that was causing the headaches. My two daughters have them also and every 3 years they go in for an angio to see if they have an aneurysm. There is a tendency for aneurysms to run in families. My daddy died from one. Mine acted up twice since then and both times they were coiled. The first bleed resulted in a clip. Coils were not invented then. Even with the after effects which can last a life time I am blest to have survived.

holly I get a laughing mouse gif from that link...can you check again
Holly was trying to help me learn how to add a link to a message. I think the mouse was special for silly me. LOL She was not posting a link to the product I posted about.

Migraine pain is so powerful it often causes the sufferer to vomit. By chance my doctor was able to offer help. It was during a medical for insurance purposes, I was asked about blackouts, so I described my migraine attacks. The doctor told me about the research and links of migraine and diet. He gave me The Migraine Trust's number. It has been an absolute blessing.
when we were young newlyweds and my 19 year old husband was having Migraines.. the specialist told him that, if you start to have migraines when young, then you will almost always grow out of it by middle age... otoh if you don't start getting them until you're well into adulthood, then you're likely to have them for life.

I don't know how true that is, but I've never forgotten it

Maybe it's true for some people.
But I had a relative who had migraines so bad as to land in the Emergency Room before kindergarten age, and continued to have them throughout life.

Not sure what 'young' would cover, but mine started at around 11-12 years old.
A point not many people know: migraines aren't a condition themselves, they're symptoms of underlying conditions. In my case it was severe hypoglycemia. If I eat on a somewhat regular schedule, and consume a moderate amount of caffeine, I don't get them.. although I do know caffeine affects people differently.

My Aussie friend used to get botox shots for her migraines. I think she's under a new treatment now, that's less frequent, but quite costly.
I have been getting botox treatments, every 3 months for about 8 years now. It does help but I have a headache daily. Some are mild, some are severe.

Migraines have defined most of my adult life. I suspect I had them earlier, but most of my complaints were dismissed as drama. To make it worse, the migraines graduated to hemiplegic migraines (which are similar to strokes). They became somewhat calmer as my life did. But I can predict a storm front, lol. I salute you fellow migraine warriors!

It is hard for people to understand how bad the pain if they have never had a migraine. A migraine is not just a headache. Add in all the other things, sick stomach, vomiting, sensitive to bright bright light and loud noise, dizziness. It is a misery I wish on no one.

If I can add: if you have migraines, find a doctor who will put the time into determining the cause.
I have a good neurologist and been seen by a neurosurgeon. I have had MRI's,
cat scans, nerve studies. I have tried many medications that side effects were not tolerable. The only thing I do now is botox treatment, drug wise, I have pills for the nausea.

@Gary O' helped me through my migraines, I cut out processed meats and MSG and have been going strong ever since.
I have tagged him in this thread, his advice is absolutely amazing.
It sure amazed me.
All those years, as long as I can remember.....suffering
Pressing my palms on my head to relieve it some
Then taking my hands away......compounded to crippling
Couldn't eat enough pain killers

Going no nitrates stopped 'em, now for decades (or for as long as I care to remember)

So glad it worked for you, @Tish

Had severe cluster migraines from age 20 to 40. (The whole time I was married to my first husband, interesting!)
allergic to red wine and alcohol in general. Took something i got at the drugstore called "Migrelief" to take at the first instant
of a migraine and it sure helped.

Mine did not start until I was 52. I know you suffered great pain, glad thy have stopped.

I had migraines that started in my early 20s and lasted until post menopause, mine were hormone related - I always got one the first day of my cycle. When I was young there was an ergotamine version of migraine pill that helped a little. Then when imitrex came out the ergotamine wasn't available anymore, but imitrex and its varieties had awful side effects for me, and then it would cause me to get several days of migraines instead of my normal just one day migraine. Then a doctor suggested Axert and that finally worked just perfectly on my migraines, only wrinkle was that it wasn't covered by my prescription insurance tho after a few years I think it became a 'tier 3' type with the highest copay.
I remember when I was young and read romances I always wondered 'what if the heroine gets a migraine'? They never seem to get sick.
