Milestone Birthdays

What are your feelings about celebrating milestone birthdays? On the one hand, I am only one day older, but on the other hand, people are treating me differently since I am becoming 70, There, I said it--I am 70 today.
We have mixed feelings about them. The kids want to do big things like grab all the grandkids and come down to Texas from Ohio for a big party weekend. We would rather keep it low keyed. Probably settle on maybe renting a 20 room house at a beach or something...lol.
Personally I could care less.

Remember, they say "70 is the youth of old age".

The last milestone birthday I celebrated with a sigh of relief was qualifying for Medicare at 65.

Happy Birthday, funsearcher!

Our family only does birthday parties for the little ones. Adults usually get their favorite foods for a Sunday lunch, but no emphasis is made for milestone birthdays.

Thanks for the wishes--I had a quiet uneventful day, due to the weather and my knee. Those of us born in January and February know what winter does to your plans...I did have some phone calls and Facebook wishes.

There, I said it--I am 70 today.
Happy B-day, a few days late.

I turn 70 in a few months also.

For me the next birthday, no matter what, is a milestone.

However at 70 I will have to start collecting social security and I think taking $ out of my 401k. Figuring the 401k think out will be the challenge... So it will be more noticeable.
