"Mini" vans aren't so 'mini' anymore.

Are you sure? I don't think Honda makes a Sienna.

I am astounded by the cost of the mini camper vans (Class B). They start at $100,000 and can go up to $200,000. They often cost more than the larger motorhomes (Class C). I guess the reason is that it's harder to pack accessories into cramped spaces.
 
We had a Ford Aerostar back in the 80s/90s. Often i would drive and my husband would sit in the back and use the folded down middle seat as a desk for his paperwork. It was a mini office.

My theory is since the universe is expanding, automobiles are too:ROFLMAO:

Honestly larger cars are ridiculous, designed for making profit not making sense. Larger vehicle are getting physically too large for the infrastructure, they can't even fit on 2 lane roads or most parking spaces.

Automobiles used to be about convenience and freedom, now they are just plain stupid like the rest of modern society.
 
Same thing with pickup trucks.
They're huge, have been for a while.
I have a '99 Chevy S10 pickup,
I sit down into it.
These newer trucks have extending and retracting running boards,
you have to climb up into and out of them.
I couldn't imagine it.

Clearly aimed at a younger demographic.
 
I had a Ford Van back in the early 70's. Used it for Service Calls, Was a cold ride in February.
I couldn't warm the cab on the I-States. It had just the 2 front seats and shelving for parts.
No AC. Hotter n spades in July and a frozen duck in Jan / March.

A Crew Cab 6 1/2 box is a long guy. I look for larger MT spots to park in. It perty much travels
long distances comfortably.

That Toy Van is a nice extended family ride in S.C. Did a 6 Adults trip to a NASCAR Race in N.C.

The size of pickup trucks nowadays is in direct proportion to the decline in male fertility it seems.
 
It's kind of obvious I'm not a car nut. i don't know a minivan from a SUV. Was at the Hyundia dealership for an oil change. I drive an Elantra- a small sedan. It seats 5, if 3 are small starving Ethiopians. In the show room was a monster size SUV (?). There are tanks that aren't that big. All I could think of was the monster size cars in the late 1960s, that got 18 miles to the gallon. When the gas crunch of the 1970s came, you couldn't give those things away. I'm not a car person, but to me, it seems those monster SUVs have much more to do with vanity than real need.

18 miles a gallon? I had a Jeep Wagoneer that got 8, unless it was 3+ feet of snow then it got 3-- but it got through, always.

We've never owned a mini-van. Had a couple station wagons, a couple SUVs, a total of eight pickup trucks, and numerous sedans. Just never had an appetite for a van.
