Minnesota Cops Vandalize Protester's cars

Maybe that was a typo, in the post, and it was 6 months?

Still wouldn't seem enough training to me, for such a difficult and demanding and complex job,
but far better than only 6 weeks.

Here is a quote taken from the article that Win, posted.

"The department said troopers deflated tires to keep the vehicles from being used in attacks against law enforcement or protesters and for the vehicles to be towed if a collection of evidence was necessary".
Yes, I read about that creative justification. They can try to justify anything if they're determined to:

"I had to shove that elderly man. He could have had a gun & could have tried to shoot me. We didn't render first aid because he was bleeding & we could have caught some type of blood borne disease from him."

"I had to strangle George Floyd. He was big & strong & he could have broken out of his handcuffs & hurt me while I was strangling him. Besides, you can see that I needed three other officers to hold him down so he wouldn't resist while I killed him."

"I had to shoot that guy in the back when he ran away from me. If I chased him, I could have had a fatal heart attack, so it was self defense because he put my life in danger."

"We had to beat Kelly Thomas to death. He was homeless & we were concerned that he might have had a contagious disease. We are heroes because we prevented other people from catching a disease from him."

You know, Win, you belong on a controversial site. You want to start a fight? Ain't gonna work with me because after I got through with you, I'd be banned and you just are not worth it, Mister. Stop insulting and putting people down or I'll report you to Matrix. With your attitude, it's amazing you are able to type.
Please feel free to report me. Just click on that blue word in the lower left. It says "Report."
Use the left mouse button.
Press once. A screen will pop up. It may ask you for a reason.
Type your reason in that box.
Sip your coffee.
Feel good & smile smugly.

I didn't say you were a juvenile delinquent but if you want to be offended anyway be my guest. I resent your resentment, but I'm going to let it go.

Those "reasons" don't sound legal or sensible, to me.
Preventative vandalism? o_O

Makes one wonder if those particular officers, were acting out of fear, or anger, or mischief, but with the info so far, it doesn't seem right, regardless, for professionals.

Though I realize that more evidence will likely come forth....

but in addition, I have a concern for some good-intentioned people who likely could have been parked there.

Harming tires put some car drivers at risk,
as they would have no way to safely leave the area, if they had planned to be %100 peaceful, and were innocent of any crime,

but some other person posing as a peaceful demonstrator, caused trouble by starting some crime or violence. Some innocent young person, or some older people, might not be able to decide when to leave, if actual criminals showed up.

Btw, 6 weeks of training is all that some officers received? That doesn't seem adequate, to me, either. It is surely a complex and challenging job for anyone, including those with the best intentions.
I had a military background which was taken into consideration. I did not walk a beat nor run around in a patrol car. I was given a test as narcotics officer and passed. Worked mainly with juveniles.

Lewkat. What do you think of the tire slashing video?

Does it still "appear" to you that Social Media is inaccurate?

If you don't mind, Win, I'm going to ride your coattails today, too! :giggle:

Absolutely flawless examples, leaving not an ounce of wiggle room for a rebuttal, that is unless one is a crooked cop.
