What's all the fuss about? When Jackie Kennedy and Princess Diana where spotted wearing a pants suit, the newspapers more or less created the furore. But step back to a time when the ladies made the armaments, drove the trucks and buses and were represented by Rosie the Riveter, as seen above, the newspapers and the press in general had nothing but praise for them.

You would see nearly all the ladies that were covering for the men in some sort of trousers, no matter what their station in life. And as for Minnie, she was in pants eighty years ago, paraphrasing, Rosie the Riveter.
