Do we have a miscellaneous questions thread? And, if not, can this be it?

I was just wondering what the symbol with the red background and gold lightening bolt, (which has appeared on a few threads) is about, didn't know where to ask and didn't want to start an entire thread just for that question.

Then it occurred that there have been other isolated questions,
"How do you know if you've been blocked?"
"Can you stop someone else from seeing your posts?"
"Who owns this forum?"

So I thought... maybe a thread for isolated questions that don't necessarily require a thread of their own?

What does that symbol mean, anyway?
 

Almost all those questions as Medusa said.. have already been answered. these are just examples of questions she's putting forward as one off questions that people might want answers to..

@Matrix owns this Forum for anyone who doesn't know.. and if you don't and you're not new.. have you been living in a Cave ? :sneaky::LOL:

You can only know if you've been blocked if you get told..or you notice someone is consistently not replying to your posts.. and no you cannot stop someone from seeing your posts, but you can stop yourself seeing posts from other members


Medusa I haven't seen the lightening bolt on any posts..have you got an example?:unsure:
 
My conclusion?
The symbol means a disconnection is likely. But since it didn’t happen, you can probably ignore it.

The symbol, I've realized on looking for examples, is simply Meanderer's new avatar. I feel like a moron. LOL :oops:

I think this is a great thread idea!

another question… If you start a thread and post it and realize that you really don’t want to follow through with thread, can you delete it? Or does matrix have to delete it for you? Thanks 😊
 
I’ve wondered about threads with lots of photos. When something is added, the thread starts much higher the next time I go one. e.g. If they’re 83 posts total that I’ve looked at, it might resume at 75 the next time I go to read there. Does this happen to others?

yes you can delete it... I can't remember how long you get , I think it's about 12 hours.. but you also have to be a member for a certain length of time before you get that facility..

I didn't find it dark. It was all humorous and fun to read all of the posts.
Plus, I think that comment is likely true, especially for some of us.
That we need to be able to laugh at ourselves...... or .......what she said.

Do you see this thread for questions relating to this forum only, and as being similar to the examples in your OP, or do you see it as going much wider?
