Mobile Phone Alert...Oct 3rd

They found me and my little $20.00 flip phone.

I need to do a little research on this as far as how long it takes them to push this out to the entire nation and if they can segment it by zip code to certain areas of the country, etc...

I think that this is a great idea!

I got it but I was on a phone conversation at the time and just wanted to get rid of the annoying sound. The person I was talking to got it at the same time. Since we live in the same town, I thought it was a flood warning. I deleted it without really reading it...something I don't usually do. This reminds me to make sure to check and see what the emergency alert is about before deleting.

I only have a pre-paid Tracfone flip-phone for emergencies, didn't get the 'alert' and that's okay with me.

Not only did I get it on my phones, it came through on my tv. I came home to a dark tv screen and couldn't figure out why some dang alert message was blasted across it. I had to turn my tv off to get my regular size screen back. This was different from the usual alert messages that blare across the screen while one is actually watching the tv. I wonder if it did it the way it did because my TV is a roku TV. I don't know, but it was weird.

I checked to find out if it was sent to some tvs and seems it was sent to some smart watches and TVs.

Yes, there was a total interruption of my TV program with a text message about the Alert Message. Not just a strip across the top of the screen but a text message in a block in totally in place of the regular TV programming. I have digital Spectrum on a regular TV.

Yes that's how it looked on my screen, I have digital Spectrum too. Since no one else mentioned TV, I thought I might have to get rid of my TV to avoid this happening again. Oh well, no luck there. :D

Did you have to restart your TV to get back to a regular screen? That possibly could have been because of the type of TV, maybe not; I'm just curious.

No, April, my TV (which is a Sony flat screen) went right back to regular programming without having to do anything else.

Got it on my cell as well as TV. It interrupted and cancelled the program in progress. Comcast is my provider.
