Mom's Birthday

Today would have been my mom's 88th birthday. Here she is enjoying the beach on a long ago summer day:

Yep I agree, beautiful mother, Deb... and I wish her a happy birthday on this day even tho' she's gone from this world ...

I still do the same on my mother's birthday, after all.. if she hadn't been born I wouldn't have been here.

My mum would have been 82 now...

My mother would have been 104 on her birthday earlier this month.

I agree! you look so much alike.. My mom would have been 95 on August 16th.

How nice to see your tree, Deb! Your father looked like a happy go lucky guy.

He was, as his father was! Mom was more serious and practical, especially in her later years. My dad loved to play games and watch sports on TV. We spent many happy hours playing cards and chess, much to my mother's frustration when she believed we could be doing something more constructive. Grandpa Dunbar was a practical joker and every Halloween he'd open his home to the neighborhood kids and had fun and games with prizes for them. I may look more like my maternal side, but my personality is more from the paternal side.
