Mom's son decapitates abusive boyfriend after 5 calls to police for domestic abuse

A mom's son killed/decapitated her abusive boyfriend in Staten Island. After 5 domestic violence calls to the police since 2021. The mom's leg was even broken onetime.

Cops were called to Staten Island horror house repeatedly on domestic violence calls before shock decapitation: sources

The victim a sanitation worker had a criminal record going back to 2000ish.

But 5 calls which included a broken leg so why was the mom still with him?

If 'the system' worked better the victim would be alive, the son wouldn't have a record and the mom would probably be a lot healthier.

Why was she still in that relationship? When he broke her leg did she file charges?
All you women out there, please don’t get upset by what I am about to write.

Some women keep taking men back (and vice versa) for different reasons. Some think they can change their man, some do it because of fear from being threatened, some have even told me they still love him.

I have seen some bad things, but nothing like decapitation. I have seen sons try to protect their mother from a boyfriend or a husband. In one instance, a son grabbed a vacuum cleaner metal tube and beat the boyfriend within an inch of his life. In fact, when I saw this guy lying in a puddle of blood, I thought he was dead.

When women are physically abused by a boyfriend or husband, they are very reluctant to sign a complaint. I think most women don’t do it for fear of repercussions. Even if I tell them I can take them to a shelter, they have refused to sign the complaint. Women scoff at getting a PFA and I don’t blame them. The only way a PFA can be enforced is if a cop is standing outside the victim’s front door.

I was thinking the same thing. Seems like child abuse to stay with an abuser.

I know from my experience, you can't be helped if you aren't willing to take the steps you are asked to take.
They don't/can't do things like they did for me 53 years ago. When I was told "NO contact with family or friends for
3 months...NONE" I almost backed out, then thought

3 months of silence is way better than 3 months of unpredictable
abuse. It is amazing what 3 months of no one whispering in your ear telling you their opinions can do to help you
see things clear, get priorities straight.
It does take a lot of strength and determination to learn to stand for yourself
at times. You have to be sober, focused and willing to be self-reliant.

Exactly. Can't help those that won't help themselves.

My guess there was somekind of codependency if not dependency on the boyfriend. Haven't seen what the mom did for a living or wether drugs involved..

Self reliance should be emphasized in general. Too many wind up using a crutch they don't need in life.

Having grown up in a family where the wife stayed in an abusive relationship I can tell you the reasons why..

One.. she had 4 kids.. there was no help in those days ( 60's) for any women who left their husband with 4 kids.. no benefits, no womens' refuges.. nothing..

2.. she wouldn't have been able to work if she did leave, because in those days kids under 16 couldn't be left on their own , therefore she wouldn't be able to feed us...

3. When we kids called the police on him.. she begged us not to do it again, because he would be fined or jailed and again we would lose his income, and we kids would end up in foster homes again ( we'd already experienced that) and likely split up for good

4. when the majority of us were teens she left.. on her own... and he hunted her down.. and dragged her back... she couldn't escape him

She eventually did escape him and took her own life...:cry::cry:

You can thank the Dems for that!
