Our house was surrounded with people banging on the door and shining lights through the windows. My first instinct was to grab a gun but I saw a man on the back porch and hollered "who is it".
He shined the light on himself showing SHERIFF so I turned on a light and went to the door and let him in.
My wife was beside me and he asked if we were okay then let the others in.
It turn out my wife had been fooling with her phone (actually trying to turn the tv off) and had pushed the 5 star button. She didn't respond to the operator so he called the sheriff's office.
Well, at least we know the emergency system works
