The losers are going around backing the killer who killed the CEO of an insurance company.
They want to make it look like they have a cause to support when two weeks before the shooting nobody was protesting insurance company practices.
They are ready to make asses of themselves if it looks like it might be popular to do so.
Decent people don’t condone cowardly acts like shooting an unarmed man in the back.

Rant over? This morning I sadly watched a report on TV of several people who died, or their cancers returned, due to the practices of Insurance companies. Cigna & Blue Cross/Shield were mentioned in particular. One of them changed its policy for one woman due to media pressure, but it was way too late.

Multi millionaire insurance executives? F them. Their impositions are so ugly and effect so many others. F them.

Not suggesting nasty acts, but no sympathy in this corner if they happen.

No sympathy from me either. Mangione's action prevented UNC from implementing that new policy of only paying for the exact amount of anesthesia that would be indicated by a procedure, but what if an emergency arises? I guess they decided it wouldn't look too good if they went ahead with it at this time. Thank you Luigi. You may have saved many from a lot of pain.

I don't care about billionaires or their shareholders. Let them take care of themselves.

UnitedHealth said in June last year it would acquire home health and hospice caregiver Amedisys. Analysts, however, anticipated regulatory scrutiny due to the healthcare conglomerate's presence in the home health sector.

Eliminating competition between UnitedHealth and Amedisys can harm patients who receive home health and hospice services as well as insurers who contract for and nurses who provide these services, the DOJ has said.

Screw 'em.

Clique-y people will always hop on the next clique wagon to feel "of one" aka "popular and accepted".

Beats me why some have this urge, perhaps they are trying to "find" themselves in the next trendy cause?

I assume your IRA doesn't have any investments.

That fact that some people believe the practices of a health insurance company are more despicable than murder, kind of says it all. I'm not sure Mangione was truly striking a blow for the victims of mega-health insurers, or the voices in his head told him to do it. But, you really don't see an outpouring of sympathy for the murdered executive.
And, from the news, apparently, online, Mangione is supposed to be a "hunk".

Some people have been searching for recourse when an insurance company has denied a life-saving procedure. This incident brings the subject to the public and offers an opportunity for discussion.

It is a CEO's job and mission in life to increase profits for his company.
It is the role of government and our legal system to protect consumers from monopoly and conspiracy and other predatory practices.
Our government has failed us.
And it is a CEO’s job to make his company’s products more desireable and affordable for the consumer than his competition. That is what we call free enterprise, a clearly superior system than failed socialism.

Our Medicare system works relatively well, and that's a good example of socialized insurance. While many insurance companies operate with up to a 20% overhead, Medicare operates with about a 4% overhead. That's pretty damn efficient! Granted, Medicare has its flaws and abuses, but most people who use it are pretty happy with it. I don't think anyone is happy with our current private insurance system.

I am very satisfied with Kaiser Permanente, funded by my pre-retirement employer.

It's okay to murder the CEO because some people died because of his decisions.

Then I suppose those who murdered innocent people should all receive the death penalty? Oh, wait, their death sentences have been commuted.

Huh, and double Huh?
Yeah, I didn't say that very well. Will try again.

The CEO killed people with his actions. He deserves the death penalty; the man who killed him is a hero.
A Bad Guy kills people with his actions. Yet there is no death penalty for him because killing him is wrong.

If a person kills someone and they deserve to die (the CEO), then shouldn't the man who killed the CEO deserve to die?

Sometimes the only way to stop someone from doing harm is by killing him.

Violence begets violence.
So many shootings permeate societies' collective consciousness.
It is no more right to take a shot at Trump than it is to shoot a CEO.

You still don’t get it. If the CEO broke the law he should be arrested and prosecuted — PERIOD. Simply murdering him was a heinous crime that deserves to be judged in a court of law.

The CEO didn't break any laws since the health insurance industry has control over lawmakers. We get the laws that maximize their profits - not the laws that would be best for society.

Perhaps, but there are laws and a government agency …

“Everyone deserves access to affordable, quality health care coverage and services.”
