More Christmas Memories...

I think I'm in Florida, but I'm not sure any more.
We would listen to the carols on the radio on Christmas Eve back in the 50's and occasionally they'd break in with a VERY.IMPORTANT.BROADCAST purportedly from Conelrad about an "unidentified flying object, appearing to be some sort of vehicle pulled by eight tiny hooved animals" that was crossing into American territory....crossing Montana.....flying over Kansas.....Illinois....INDIANA!!! It would sound very grave and serious and always got us much too excited to go to bed. After all, it was on the RADIO and it was from CONELRAD!!! IT MUST BE TRUE!!!

Oh, to once again experience that excitement....and that certainty that IT MUST BE TRUE!!!
 

I remember listening to a serial radio program every Christmas during the 50s called "The Cinnamon Bear". I loved that and could hardly wait for it to come on each afternoon. I looked it up on eBay a few years ago to see if anyone had put it on cassette or CD and they had. I thought it was overpriced and refused to buy it but I think sometime this next year I'll get it. Did any of you listen to it?
