More No-Shows

I had three people lined up to come and look at my items for sale this morning. None showed up.

I contacted one through Craig's List to confirm and he asked for a price reduction. I said for a 5'8" by 24" dressing mirror in like new condition, my $15 asking price was very reasonable. I haven't heard back from him.

A woman was interested in a large dieffenbachia plant. When she didn't show, I PMed her. She replied that she didn't drive and was expecting me to deliver it. This was not brought out in her original message.

The other man wanted a crock. I waited an hour past the appointment time and when I tried to call the number he gave me as a contact, it was not a working phone number.

I just wish if they were going to offer a lower price, they'd do it before coming and get the negotiations settled beforehand.

To be fair, the guy did come for the mirror an hour and a half after the agreed time. He did pay the asking price, but he didn't look happy.

Some people that contacted me about the mirror and said they could get a brand new dressing mirror at WalMart for half my price. I could tell them to go there or to another warm place, but that would probably violate some Marketplace or Craig's List rule. They are just trying to shame me into selling for $2 or $3.

People see what they want to see or think they can still talk the price down. Like the man that came for the scrap wire. I clearly had $5 in the ad, but he didn't see it and though it was free.
To be fair, scrap wire should be free. Basically, he'd be hauling it to a recycle station for you and they'd pay for his gas and the bother.
