Do you believe in polls, like Gallop.
They just posted that their polls say Obama and Hillary Clinton
as most admired in 2013.
They say their data comes from 1,031 adults on Dec 5th.

They gotta be kidding..
I'd go with Bill Clinton, Pope Francis and Condoleezza Rice/Angelina Jolie

Makes me wonder how O can be an admired one, when all polls show his approval rating is in the dumpster, and this was before December. Maybe admired and trusted are two different things in some's eyes.

Oh yeah..forgot about that! Well, in that case, by all means he should have another phony award.

Does the word showphony come to mind when thinking of POTUS? ;)

Based on what the pictures captured, I would not want to be that bad boy on the trip home with wifey. Of course, we can all add our own captions and thoughts to the pictures to suit our personal feelings of the subjects, which may or may not be accurate. I do think the last picture is curious though in how Mrs. O came to insert herself between The Bad Boy and the Danish Delight.

Phil's Most-Admired List for 2013

3. My roommate, for keeping on after several mini-strokes, surgeries and the onset of diabetes
2. My neighbor, for stepping out into traffic to rescue an injured dog
1. My cat SnagglePuss, for consistently defending his honor against Tigger The Humping Hound

That's an admirable list in itself Phil. They don't need to be famous do they?

In that vein I'll nominate whoever it is that wheels my garbage bin in lately. I have no idea who does that but a medal awaits them.

I admire folks who hold down a job and take care of themselves and their loved ones. People who are good and kind and don't litter.

People who don't hate somebody because they are different from themselves.

I really can't think of one famous person that I admire. There are a few dead ones I admired. Kurt Vonnegut being one of them.

Dont know this Kurt Vonnegut but like his quotes.

“We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.”

“I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.”

"Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt.”

“We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down.”

“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

Vonnegut's book are magical to me. He was a brilliant man.

"And I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is'.”

I say that a lot. "If this isn't nice I don't know what is", we all need to find happiness in the simpliest of things.

And my golden rule.."God Damnit you've got to be kind."

I don't admire any of those clowns listed in the poll. I admire the kid who just whizzed by on his skateboard, wild and free.
