Most of My Electric Went Out This Morning.

About 2am. Most of my electric went out. Part of the kitchen and part of the dining room still have some electric but the living room and bedroom and most importantly the furnace are not working now.

I don't know what happened but I called maintenance 3.5 hours ago and am still waiting for them.

Luckily I've been able to plug a space heater into the kitchen outlet. It's now 71 in here. Hopefully the kitchen outlet won't go out too.

The maintenance man was just here and said other's electric are out in the building. He said he's looking for a short in the building. I hope he finds it.

The Electric co. was just here and did some repairs. Now, all my electric is back on. And so is my heat!

Our power went out as well, from about 10 pm to 4 am. Longest power outage in a while. We have a backup generator so all was ok.

I saw a transformer near our house blow up, pretty sure that was the cause. It was snowing, but not a lot.

Probably not connected to you, we are far apart.

Yes, we are very far from each other. Glad you have a generator.

Yes! My refrigerator never went out...but the heat did and now it's on full blast. Very nice.

I don't think so. At least I now think it was a faulty outside wire that has been problematic for several months. My lights were flickering that long but at first I thought

it was new lightbulbs. Problem gone now.

Come to think of it though it could have been the icing on the cake----winds!

The repair service was really prompt. Glad you’re warm again.

Does it kick in automatically or do you have to go outside and start it up. In the middle of the night, I’d be huddling down deep in my blankets and refusing to move.
