Thank you for my kidney Mum! Just three months after their living donor kidney transplant, kidney donor mother Claire Cody and her kidney recipient daughter Sophie (14) stepped out on their local strand in Skerries for a photo opportunity, organised by the Irish Kidney Association, to celebrate Mother's Day and to highlight that Organ Donor Awareness Week will take place from March 27th March to April 3rd. Mother's Day in Australia is the second Sunday in May.

Sorry I missed that post Hollydolly. There are a lot of ten pound Poms out here and when I left home at 18 and came to the big smoke, I met quite a few. I remember thinking their mothers back home must have been heartbroken not receiving a card from their sons because it was held on a different day.

It's the same in Spain. My daughter has just returned to the UK after almost 11 years living there and she had to be very careful to remember Mother's day UK because the Spanish one is on a different day :D
