Motorcycles.

Yamaha 250, for a year. Actually took it on Chicago toll roads, at speeds of 90+ mph. Can't believe that, now. Then up to a Yamaha 450. Rode it for ten years. Then up to Yamaha 1200. Rode it for fifteen years. In Austin, it's always too hot, too rainy or too cold for great motorcycle riding. My bikes spent most of their time on a battery tender, in my garage. Also, too many idiots drivers, now, in Austin. Sold my last bike about twenty yeas ago. Never again, I think.

My last two wheeler was a Vespa 250 with all the bells and whistles and enough power to smoke a good many local boys who laughed at her. By the way, anything this pretty deserves a good name like Moondancer. I had to let her go after I turned 75 and had rotator cuff surgery. But I did find her a good home.

Hmmm, I don't seem to be able to load her picture. Maybe she is a bit shy this morning.

my son and grandaughter ride motorbikes , hubby hates them....he always said,if the boys bring one home, he would smash them up.......🙁

Listen to your "Boss." She doesn't want the guy she cares about to have brain damage or paralysis & have to wear adult diapers in his golden years.

One of our best friends love motorcycles but is short, so finally invested in a Can-Am Spyder. She has the F2, this is photo of the F3. She loves it. Her partner just bought the new Can-Am Ryker.

She got her love of cycles from her dad. He's an aging Boomer, and just last year gave up his Harley 2-wheeler for the HD trike. This is a Google image, but I know he bought this color. Very handsome!

A good friend of mine has a Can-Am and loves it. It always looks like it is about to EAT something.

1975 Kawasaki 100 street and trail. Fun little 2 stroke which fouled the plug on a regular basis. 1976 Suzuki GT 380, another little two stroke but a triple. 1978 Yamaha XS 650E. Torquey bugger just right for cruising our hilly back country roads. Rode it for 25 years putting 65,000 miles on it. Sold it at the age of 60. Missed riding and bought a Kymco 200 scooter. Got hit by an old lady and spent a week in the hospital. I'm done.

Two strokes are cool but getting hit by an old lady and spending a week in hospital really sucks.
Putting 65,000 miles on a bike is a great journey though.

My first motorbike was

1969 Honda 90
It was a big thing for me then

Then I sold it and bought this one which at the time it was a big bike but not for today's standards

1970 Honda 350 Scrambler-1.jpg
Honda 350 Scrambler 1970
This was a cool bike as the exhaust came up right to thigh high

This was my last bike as I decided that I want to continue living and graduated to racing motor cars
