Movement for pain

When medications and surgery are not an option, movement therapy is a godsend. I found Yoga and Taichi to be a highly desirable alternative to traditional treatments for my back pain. As always, consultation with your physician before starting such activities is essential. Consumer Reports has several articles mentioning this route for pain management. Yoga made me feel good & flexible. It also caused some pain. It was probably a combination of age & I overdid it. My Physical Therapist fixed that pain. She was the best. The last time I saw her she had exercises that were demonstrated online. Much better than the old stick drawings.
