My wife and I went to see this film yesterday afternoon and I highly recommend it. The movie details the efforts by the Boston Globe's "Spotlight" team to uncover the depth of the sex abuse scandal that has rocked the Catholic church over the last several years. I appreciated the fact that the film focused on the investigation and those doing the legwork. Fine performances by everyone in this film. I found it suspenseful and a fascinating look into the background of the efforts to expose the true depth of this scandal for the Boston Archdiocese. A really fine film and I suspect you'll see it being nominated for a Best Picture Oscar early next year.

I’ve heard really good things about this movie. Michael Keaton is always terrific. Also several other good actors…John Slattery and Stanley Tucci.

Really strong acting across the board in this film, and the story is important. I liked that they focused on the work of the reporters, showing the interviews, the phone calls, all the digging to get at the facts. Really made me appreciate all the work behind the scenes that led to such an important story being brought to light. The ending scene, where you see the newsroom on the morning of the release of the first story, was for me very powerful.
