This film was fantastic! "Sully", starring Tom Hanks in the title role, is nominally based on the book written by Captain Chesley Sullenberger and recounts the crash and the investigation that followed. My wife and I really enjoyed it. Here's a link to the NY Times review for anyone interested. Also, here's a separate link in their business section talking about some of the comments from the lead investigator for the NTSB, disputing how the investigation is portrayed in the film.
I thought Hanks and the other characters did a fine job. The water landing and moments leading up to it, as well as the subsequent rescue (which amazingly took only 24 minutes!) are likely to leave you feeling exhausted and thrilled. A very satisfying film by Clint Eastwood. I see that this is also shown as an iMax film, but we did not see it in that format.
