Movie Theater Snacks

If you go to the movie theater do you go to the concession stand for snacks? What do you usually order?
If you get popcorn what do you put on it? Are the snacks expensive?

Occasionally, a hot dog. More often than not, popcorn & a coke.

Haven't been to a theatre for awhile, but do remember the snacks cost a fair bit (at least $10.00 for popcorn/drink).

Used to take candy or chocolate bar in my handbag :)

Popcorn, no butter. And yes, the stuff costs a mint. FWIW, a theater employee (not a manager) told me that hollywood takes almost all of the profits from ticket sales. I was led to believe the theater is a viable business because of the popcorn it sells (and probably the other candies it sells too), and Hollywood doesn't get any of that. I'm not sure I believe it, but then I know nothing about the business.

Go to few theater movies. Being frugal, have always carried in some pocket candy like Skittles if eating something mattered. The unhealthy greasy buttered popcorn thing so many are habituated to tends to somewhat annoy me enough I'll try to avoid sitting adjacent to any eating so but then some people may come in and sit down next to me whereupon if given a choice, I'll get up and move.

I used to go to the movies, and more often the drive-in theaters, when I was young and broke.

We used to bring an inexpensive treat and save our cash for a drink or a meal after the show.
