Went to pop it in this weekend, then remembered we lent the DVD to a friend
That's one of my favorite films. Anthony Hopkins was so brave. It was a personal growth experience and I say it out loud too because of this film.

But I do love Snake Plisskin and all that Escape from New York offers. Snake was one of a kind.

Movies I enjoy watching the most are light romantic comedies. Miss Congeniality and My Big Fat Greek Wedding are a couple of them.

All of Kurosawa's movies are good, but 'Rashomon' is my favorite.
I bet you'd like Hell in the Pacific, then. It stars only Lee Marvin and Toshirō Mifune, and the writers and director (John Boorman) were obviously inspired by Kurosawa's story-telling style. Overall it's a character study of two military officers, one American, the other Japanese, stranded on a remote, uninhabited island during WWll, who have to either kill or cooperate to survive until rescue comes.

There's tension, a bit of heroism, a lot of human nature, and even some comedy, much like you see in Kurosawa's films.

Mr. Peabody & The Mermaid, my favorite since I was a little girl. Also Independence Day, Running Scared (Billy Crystal & Gregory Hines), One Touch of Venus, The King & I (Yul Brenner version) and Coming To America.
