Moving Back To Northeast FL

I did leave my senior cottage apartment in TN on 11/10/25 and relocated to FL. I found a room to rent and put the majority of my stuff in storage. I will be moving into a senior high rise apartment on the 10th fl on Friday, 1/30/26. I will post a new diary about my journey once I get somewhat settled in. I want to share my finances and experiences in case it can help someone who desires to do the same.
So you moved into your new apartment yesterday. Did you have anyone help you move? Did you get your other stuff out of storage? Will you show us a picture when you are all set up?

Happy for you. …. you made the move at a great time ….. considering the winter weather.

Best of wishes going forward. It should be easy living there. Love the area myself.

Yes, dear. I do plan to show pics here and there but don't expect much. My craft stuff takes over my living room and I don't buy much decor at all. I've stopped collecting and have purged to the bare bones. 😄

And @Pinky, I lived here before but left because hurricanes Matthew and Irma scared me so badly. And I didn't like the summer heat, the bridges and the palmetto bugs. But I find myself back here when I never thought I'd return.

Best Wishes and Safe Travels ~ Nice that you will be with your family - that's more important than palmetto bugs 🤗
They are so big that they remind me of mice out of the corner of my eye. Someone said they're not as bad as they used to be. With all of the water surrounding and saturating FL, they will always be around though. On the 10th fl I don't have to worry about them coming in under the door. 😊

Sounds very exciting. Hope you'll get settled soon and can get back to doing all the things you love! I'm trying to get motivated to make some Valentine cards!
Yes, my Valentine's crafting is shot this year since I'm in the midst of this moving. I'll be happy and resting among my boxes. But I'll be around the forum posting love wishes. 💞

:ROFLMAO:

OK, you made me look them up. Big ole roaches... ick!

I still have nightmares of the bugs we used to have in school - they would be in the girls bathroom!

We called them potato bugs. Sooooooo gross!

When I lived in Texas, we had scorpions crawling up the drain pipes! Still have nightmares about those too!!!

I can relate!
