About three years ago, the thought struck me, as I took my assortment of vitamins and supplements, one morning, that I could avoid the hassle of opening all of the bottles, everyday, by going back to a multivitamin I had taken, years ago.
Over the years, my body had "told me" what vitamins and supplements I needed to take. That brought me to the assortment I was taking, up to that morning. I did very well with that mix of vitamins, but the multi beckoned.
OK, so I went out and bought the old tried and true. The formulation hadn't changed. As I was to soon find out, I had!
Approximately three hours after I took the multi, I was doing some paperwork, at my standing desk. Suddenly, out of nowhere, I was struck by a blindingly painful sensation, mid-chest. It felt like a sharp, burning arrow had been launched into my chest, no lie! Instantly, I yelled out: "F#$%ing multi!"
I knew that the pain I experienced, that morning, had to be caused by the multi, with zero doubt. If I had a weak heart, that experience would have killed me, also no doubt.
I went back to my past, and present, regimen, and never again went through that horrible experience.
My point here is, yet again, listen to your body! Over the years, my body had called for all of the vitamins and supplements I now take, and had pulled me away from a "one size fits all" multi. I disrespected my body, when I grabbed a multi for the sake of convenience, and I paid the price. Obviously, that price could have been the last I paid, in this lifetime.
Rest assured, that will never happen again!
