Have you ever heard a song or a piece of music that had such an impact that it moved you to tears? (Or at least produced shivers up and down your spine?) Please share with us what that music was/is and where you were when you heard it.

I was in a very downtime in my life when this song came out and it hit me hard in a very positive way when I first heard it. One of those songs that hit me instantly and kept playing it over and over on my CD player. I'm not ashamed to say that I still get tears when I listen to it.

When I was growing up there was always music playing in our house. My Mom's favorite singer was Dean Martin. She was lucky enough to see him perform. He saw her cry when he sang this song and he called her to the stage and gave her a
hug and a kiss. She then went back to her seat and kissed my Dad. After that She always said she had the best night and
had the chance to kiss the 2 men she loved. From that point on I could never listen to this song without crying.

This would be one of them, especially when it first came out in the 80's. Not so much now. It did remind me of a particular person and event at the time, but nothing like the occasion described in the song.

Same Old Lang Syne - Dan Fogelberg

I sang "Tiny Dancer" to my pregnant belly, to my daughter as an infant and young child, we saw "Almost Famous" together where that was one of the soundtrack tunes. When she left me for good I had to actually leave a store if it came on the muzak. I can finally tune it out now, but for me it's a heart breaker.

Another one. Can't explain why, when or where.

Catch the Wind - Donovan, 1965
