The oldest known musical instrument
A flute made from a bird bone and mammoth ivory is the oldest known musical instrument in history.
It was found in the Swabian Alps in Germany and is estimated to be over 35,000 years old!
The first music ever recorded was "Au Clair de la Lune" by Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville in 1860.
A phonautograph was used to record it. It is a device that can visually record sound waves.
