An idiot pays 44 billion for Twitter, then destroys it by letting people with hate festering in their hearts, back on to spread their conspiracy lies and hatred? Great business move! And he wonders why businesses don't want to advertise on Twitter. What a jerk!

There's been about 60 or so cameo appearances by celebrities on TBBT...guess Musk was feeling left out! :LOL:

Just out of curiosity to see what it was like on Twitter since I haven't looked at it in about a year or so, I took a look last night. I saw a bit of the antisemitism that's talked about in the article and also a torrent of Tweets about Hunter Biden's laptop.

That's enough to last me a while. I'll check in again in another year or so. :ROFLMAO:

Musk has repeatedly said that he wants to roll back many of the content moderation policies that were in place before he took over the company and has signaled he only wants speech prohibited when it incites violence or violates the law.

The billionaire has already rolled back Twitter’s previous Covid misinformation rules and said he plans to grant “general amnesty” to people who were previously banned for violating Twitter rules.

“These changes are already affecting the proliferation of hate on Twitter, and the return of extremists of all kinds to the platform has the potential to supercharge the spread of extremist content and disinformation,” the Anti-Defamation League said. “This may also lead to increased harassment of users.”

I'm a free speech advocate, so if the owner of Twitter wants it, no matter how stupid, I would not try to stop it. Except by my absence from Twitter. Actually I have never been on Twitter, and would have no idea how to do it.

I believe letting idiots like Anglin have their say is the best way to expose the nonsense. Any kind of censorship would give an air of the exotic or something. Certainly not deserved.

Since 'the authorities' appear unable/unwilling to specify the origin of Covid, and/or answer the numerous questions about possible vaccine side effects, and/or the validity of mask wearing, etc etc almost ad infinitum......one has to wonder which people consider themselves to be in a indisputable position to declare something 'misinformation'.
 
That's what you get with "Free Enterprise." Crazies here, crazies there, crazies everywhere! Musk just believes in Freedom of Speech. In a communist state, you can easily shut people up who do not tote the party's line. In a democracy you can have freedom of speech.

I wonder why in Canada, you are no longer allowed to call cookies, "Brownies?" We too used have freedom of speech. It has sort of "Gone With The Wind." But, if your "All Inclusive" then your OK!👍

Anyway, Musk owns the company. He is the boss! If he want to tell everyone to wear pink socks on Monday, they better wear pink socks or get fired. It's the joy of being the boss.
 
I've never even considered joining Twitter and after the big boy, Musk, bought it, I applaud myself for staying out of that mess.

He is a prime example of a person who got what he wanted, and simply flounders at trying to make something good come of it. A total waste of time.
 
Musk has a Private audience with French President Macron? A US multi-billionaire is now a policy agent for the u.s. government?
