Mutts or pure breeds???

Our chihuahua used to sit in my hand and we would ride around the complex where we lived on my bicycle. He was everyone's friend. When he was full grown he weighed 4 pounds.

I’ve noticed when down in the city there are more and more dogs in large shopping centres , and no I don’t believe they are assistance dogs as they usually wear a brightly coloured harness.

Many of the dogs are in shopping trolleys …I’m not sure if rules are changed regarding health and hygiene partially in supermarkets.

Bunnings is a very large hardware chain shop that only recently introduced a “a huge pets department“https://www.bunnings.com.au/product...MIy6zewNLaigMV_xGDAx1zfgnaEAAYASAAEgJoW_D_BwE it’s full of dogs in trolleys on weekends…… ( mainly designer breeds ) I’ve even been restricted from using the toilet in Bunnings beacuse its being used by owners to pamper dogs
I go to Bunnings myself, but I've noticed a sign on the Cafe shop "Do Dogs Allowed" Which pleases me.

I don't have a preference.

But I do like little dogs and when my last dog died I looked for young ( up to 2 yrs old) little rescue dogs.

There were none so I looked at breeders and got my dog from there. Consequently she is a pure breed.

Not because I wanted a fashion accessory 🤷‍♀️

We have had many dogs over the years, at one point 7... We only paid for one, Lab puppy from Pet Smart our Daughter fell in love with. The rest were rescues. Most were mutts, but had several pure breeds along the way, Dobermans Rottweilers Labs, a couple hunting breeds. Even a wolf mix. Of all these, we only rehomed 3, the rest lived out there days with us, most 10+ years.

most of our family dogs were pure breeds e.g English cocker spaniel, Irish setter, golden retriever except for one. 'Lassie' was part beagle,a mix of other breeds,my dad's favorite hunting dog. Our last dog, the golden retriever was a disappointment to my dad, she preferred chasing squirrels or rabbits, but was a sweet, loving dog
