My 15 minutes of fame

I wrote this article a couple years back for Reminisce magazine and they printed it, to my surprise. Grandpa loved his card games and Chinese checkers and I was more than willing to try to beat him. The fireplace was built by grandpa as most my relatives were stone masons. RIP Grandpa.

Excellent job, Pap!

Maybe you could expand that into a book ... ;)

I remember those plastic slipcovers well - when you sat down on them they always made a farting sound, and in the summer your legs would stick to the plastic and you had to peel them off.

Good job, Pappy!! A book would be great!!! Ohhh; plastic curtains - we had those things when I was a kid. :biggrin-new:

I have had more than my allotted 15 minutes of fame over the years having taken part in several TV/radio programmes, films and newspaper/magazine articles. It was quite a lot of fun. :)

I have a story to tell about the past 5 years with family, its not good stuff but worth reading to prevent others from falling into the same trap. Is Reminisce magazine a good place to start?
