My Beloved BFF Forever

In that state between sleeping/waking, I have felt something jump onto the bed. We did let our dogs onto the bed to snuggle. They never stayed there all night.

This is Suzy at about 2 or 3 years old, right after I adopted her. I couldn't get her groomed yet because I had to wait a month after she was fixed to bathe her, etc.

Anyhow, she was smiling when this picture was taken. Always a happy girl!

I had spent every holiday with Suzy for the past 12 years. She would have some of whatever food I made. We used to go to my brother's house 🏠 for holidays too but he left the state I think 6 years ago. So now I spent today with myself and lots of memories....

Happy Easter to Suzy in heaven

Ruthanne, have you considered getting another dog? While one never replaces the previous one it can help to heal your heart. I’m purposely not getting a dog younger than 5 because I don’t want it to outlive me. I also have a friend that will take my dogs if I die.

Thanks but I cannot afford to with how high Veterinary care costs now. They keep raising the prices all the time. I also don't have the energy anymore.
