My Cochlear Implant is soon to Happen

-I spent two hours with the ENT doc today, but not the one that will actually do the procedure. I see the BIG MAN at 1 PM on the 29th but not for the surgery. I see the picture now of how this thing works. Because it's government money that is paying, the FDA has strict requirements imposed on candidates (ME). They not only want to make sure that you can't hear worth a damn and that hearing aids are not sufficient, they also want to know your emotional state as well as physical and what your expectations are after the implant AND if you are prepared to spend the time in learning to hear again. YES that's right-LEARNING TO HEAR .
At any rate---I have now pased all the preliminary BS and will finally meet THE BIG MAN next week to schedule the actual procedure..
Frankly. I think I could have qualified quicker for a BRAIN IMPLANT.
