My Computer Changed From White t Black...Help!

my computer screen went from white to black suddenly. It works fine but I want the white background back as its easier to read. I have gone to settings and followed what they said but it is still black. Can anybody help? Thanks!!

sometimes when mine does something bonkers, I just resart and it goes back to the original setting. I think i just somehow hit a key or little dog walk across and hits something. Give that a try
 
You most likely are on Contrast mode. I use contrast mode as its easy on the eyes, the color print needs to be selected. No more
heavy blue in the brain. Other thought is your Monitor is crapped out. Check your buttons to see if it's something controllable.
If you have a Microsoft 10 puter you can probably find a used Monitor for it at a resale shop. Tons of them out there. Most are
going to the Curved ones.

It seems like more websites are going to dark mode. My iPhone now goes to dark mode at night, because of one of the Apple updates. I seldom even use my phone, so I have not bothered to go to settings and change it back to regular more all the time, but I did with the ipad because I use it at night a lot.
Mine is in settings under display and brightness. I have it set on automatic on the phone so it changes at night to the dark mode. I also have the blue-blocker turned on, so at night, it goes into a warmer light, which is better for being able to fall asleep.

Did you get your answer? Is it just this website? … if so, in the bottom left corner of this page it gives you three setting choices for your viewing.

Myself, I like the shades of grey best … and for the reason you don’t. … my bad eyesight.
 
No, I didn't find out yet, bit I am actually fining the dark mode easier on my eyes. A little confusing for a day or so but I now think I might keep it. Thanks for your help.
