My conversation with a 13 year old Chinese boy today

Today I went to our favorite Chinese take out restaurant to get lunch for DH and myself. I go often enough that they recognize me there. The owners' 13 year old son was there, and we often chat while I am waiting for my food. Today he had a Chinese calendar that shows the Chinese zodiac, so we were going over that. (I am a horse, he is a rat).
Next we got onto the holidays. For some reason he asked if I was Jewish, because Hannakah starts today. I said no, I was Christian. He said he was too. He then got very philosophical for a 13 year old. He asked if I knew that the Jewish people did not believe in Jesus as Messiah. I said I knew that. He then asked if I knew Jesus was Jewish. I said yes. Next question from him "Do you think Jesus believed he was the Messiah?" I was not sure how to answer. I said that I felt He believed he was just a man.
He started asking more deeper questions. This is when I decided he must really be 35 or something. My food came then and he turned back into a 13 year old boy and wished me a nice day.

I was reaching a point were I was enjoying the chat, but was really wondering where he was coming up with his questions, as they were very adult and thoughtful.
