My daily retirement schedule starts with a very special cup of coffee

Coffee is the drug of choice when it comes to kickstarting my day. It's not from a can (or Keurig pod) off the grocery store shelf. I roast green beans and grind them myself. Each morning I'll make myself an Americano or a pour over. Nothing tastes as good as a cup of coffee from fresh roasted coffee beans first thing in the morning. I drink it black.
How do you like your coffee?

How often do you have to roast the beans. Whenever I walk in a city area with a coffee roaster, I always think it smells like tires are burning.

I do miss the smell of fresh ground coffee in the grocery store.

My morning starts with drip coffee. No matter how great the savings, I don’t buy large cans of coffee. The brand I like comes in 300 gm bags.

Just coffee, nothing added.

I am also a bean roaster. I also do an Americano, and on weekends I make cappuccino. What kind of roaster do you use and where do you buy beans? I have an old Hearthware. I buy beans from SweetMaria's.

I roast every week or two. I vent it to the outside. The smoke smells like burnt toast.

I have a Gene Cafe. I roasted commercially for awhile using a Primo 6lb. roaster. I bought my beans in 130lb. bags. I haven't had to buy beans online yet. Not sure if SweetMaria's has organic beans. I won't use any non-organic beans. FYI, coffee beans are the second most heavily sprayed plant next to cotton. (insecticides and herbicides)

Italian Lavazza beans, Melita France grinder.

Brita filtered water, boiled.

Genuine

Bialetti - Moka Express: Stovetop Espresso Maker, 1 or 2 cup.

Lowest heat , pour boiled water to valve in pot, level funnel with fine ground beands, firmly screw top.

Wait a few minutes, THE VERY BEST!

No sweetener, milk, crème needed.

See the movie The Freshman, as Carmine Sabatinni (Marlon Brando) is offering Clarke a real Italiano espress.

That is an intentional cup of coffee.

A very little half & half; currently drinking Lavazza, get cheap in Turkish grocery store; or, I buy their Colombian beans & store grinds them for me.
