Thanks to a post on this forum about the Epley maneuver I looked it up and performed a maneuver that is less than recommended. As I laid down on my left side as I always do dizziness would kick in immediately. So with my face pointed toward my left I instantly rotated it to my extreme right and quickly it disappeared in a few seconds. I did this for about 5 or 6 days and the dizziness has not returned. This condition is called benign paroxysmal vertigo (BPPV).
