My dream stove

What is the difference between the $8,600 and the $56,000 stoves?

I mean, that's a difference of $47,400.
If I understand it correctly, there are numerous "extensions" to do other things like an "open flame broiler, bun warmer drawers, steam injection oven, matching high volume hood etc. I do know I have seen ones that are much, much longer.
Each and every piece is hand forged to fit that particular stove. Each knob and hinge is solid brass. It is the Rolls Royce of stoves. Used exclusively by Le Cordon Bleu school. THE tool for the professional chef. Made only in France.

For me the stove looks a little impractical. 4 gas burners, hot plate to the right of the right hand burners & what looks like two electric warming plates. Toss in what looks like vented heat release on the back to a surface that looks like it would be difficult to keep clean from oils being carried in vapors.

But for decorative design it look terrific.

Sorry, but it is superbly practical. Besides, chefs don't clean anything. That's what intern novices are for.

$56,000 ......Think of the money you could save not buying that stove. Instead with the money saved you could eat out at restaurants for a very long time. No clean up either.

Your view is from that of a chef, mine as practical non chef home owner that would have to clean it & the walls.

1.The burners on the left look large maybe great for large pots but not so much for smaller sauce pans.
2.Length takes up a lot of counter space.
3.The stainless pot storage section to the right of the burners nice but for me not functional.
4. The flat part that looks like a reversible cast iron cooking surface & grill a real nightmare for splatter to clean up.
5.Solid doors not great for kids that like to play hide & seek. I would have to remember to open & check before preheating the oven I intended to use.

Basically for me it looks like a nice piece of kitchen furniture. I can see it as useful for someone that looks at it as a tool. I get it that cleaning is not your job. I don't have that same luxury. My wife preps, cooks & presents the meals. I do the clean up & dishes.

Think about it like this. Some folks buy a new Ferrari. They may not "need" it but it makes them feel good and it looks fantastic. Ferrari owners heap loving care on their car, endlessly washing, polishing, and regular tune-ups. If I owned that beautiful, highly functional stove I'd treat it like a new Ferrari.

I still remember my 'dream' stove from the 1960's ... the Tappan Fabulous 400 range ... Anyone remember those?
I wanted one in the worst way .. lol ... was not to be though. 😢

They had one on the TV show Bewitched, and I watched the show to see my stove ...lol

The local Doctor’s wife had one when I was a teenager.

She chose it because the knobs were out of reach for her children.

The slide in burners used to fascinate me.

I doubt that my dream stove would be any more cleaning trouble than any other stove used by millions of cooks. Any time we fry/saute food, we ARE going to get oil splatters. That's the price we pay for loving to cook.

Well, that's why my solution is so great — we want you to cook!

LOL
I wish I could cook for everyone here. Truly ! Especially those who can appreciate my dream stove. We may be kindred spirits.
I will soon head off to the market to get baby shrimp to make a genuine New Orleans deep fried "Po-Boy"
