Yeah, I completely understand. I would never, ever, live anywhere that I could not have a gas stove.
When I lived in The Philippines, I installed a large propane tank BEFORE I moved in.

I doubt that my dream stove would be any more cleaning trouble than any other stove used by millions of cooks. Any time we fry/saute food, we ARE going to get oil splatters. That's the price we pay for loving to cook.

It's not that I don't appreciate what you would like It's just that practical works for me & for me that isn't practical. Probably "frying" mess is more about memory since my wife stopped doing that awhile ago. Between air fryer & BBQ the mess of cleaning up splatter has gone away. Sauteing is done covered to lock in flavor & eliminate splatter mess.
