Now, if the monitors want to delete this...please know this: it's ok... No offense at all. I am just hoping it will strike people funny and reinforce the fact that its not the best idea to mess around with or threaten seniors. :) (this is what I posed on FB) Rated R because of language....

My day so far...oh lord have mercy. Yesterday I responded to a FB friend, that yes, its perfectly ok to be angry...
and that I was today.... believe me....
so much so, that two people moved to the other side of the street.
Not bad for a mid 70's 4'`10 inch 'lady' ...plus I scared some people in our bldg. Oh yes...our bldg...dear old Franconia. I was on the sidewalk in front of our bldg., walking h...ome.
Approached by this nut case, 6'2" Pauline who is 46 yrs old... approached me, looming and towering over me, blocking me, and growls "I know you stole my check, where is my money"...
...those words triggered my Irish which made up for the age plus shortness...trust me on that.
My reply, loudly: "What the f'n h____ are you talking about??"
She continued to growl (like a degenerate grizzly) and threaten, with very unpleasant words, that she will get even with me and I better watch out....
My reply was neither congenial or pleasant and I yelled all the vulgarities that I have ever known (or heard) at her, not budging one inch. I am SURE I could have 'taken her down' at that moment... In very graphic, very loud terms I described her deranged and ugly mental state and 'suggested' she leave the area and never return. Unfortunately, "They' are having a challenging time committing her.
SHE moved around me...but our yelling continued, and I will take blame/credit for being far more obscene and vulgar...She moved on down the street, and people continued to dodge me...even when entering the bldg.
Now...should I have 'felt sorry for her' because she is mentally off her rocker... I didn't today, we'll just leave it at that. When Lady Godzilla drapes herself over comparatively 'little me' with threats... I will simply follow my instincts... I figured my Guides were ok with it...otherwise I might have come down with an instant case of laryngitis... heh...

I don't much tolerate bullies myself. Good on you for standing up to her. Mental illness can be difficult but being accosted by someone mentally ill is another matter.

IF you can distance yourself from nutcases, good. Unless they follow you. Then it is something beyond your control. You can only run so far before having enough of it.

Good for you Bettyann, If you had cowered down in the first seconds of "her" attached on you, she would be attaching you every time she saw you. Your instincts were to defend yourself, and that threw her off. But you should be careful, next time she might be ready for you. Can you report her to the police? If she has family that are trying to have her committed, your report could help them with that.
:hatoff:

Good on you! I haven't encountered many bullies in real life, many on the net though. Jerks.

And I don't even care that the one in particular I am thinking of is mentally ill. I don't care. If she's going to dish it out, she can bloody well take it.

I am very proud of you for defending yourself, but I'd like to I suggest that you might want to consider buying some pepper spray. And if the family is trying to get her committed, I hope they succeed.

The woman who confronted me is diagnosed 'mentally ill'... however, she is living fully and capably independently... She KNOWS 'right from wrong' and Kaya said it correctly...she has always been a bully. It made me feel good for you people to understand... Actually, after this entire thing...I felt SO GOOD...it made me 'come alive' again because I've been through a funky period.
I have a 'different' look at mental illness... even though I know that there really are cases in which a person is 'truly' mentally ill... In some ways one could call murderers, rapists, thiefs, no gooders all mentally ill... because some would say if they were really 'right in the head' they wouldn't do such things... Pauline KNOWS right from wrong.
Yes, I made reports and the personell in my bldg. are trying to do their best to get her committed...but its hard... part of the criteria for being able to do so is that they have to actually HARM physically themselves or others for them to take action...So, its difficult. I honestly do not wish that woman any harm...but I do not sympathize with her and want her FAR away from our building...
