My Favorite American Flag

I have admired the beautiful 48-Star American Flag so deeply that I had one made by a Flagmaker, complete with Gold Fringe!

Very nice. I always admired the American Flag design. It's so fitting to the country.

I have family living in the U.S.

I am close to the border and have visited and made friends with our American neighbours (Canadian spelling).

Why not a 50 star flag?

I still have the 48-star flag that my grandmother hung in her big front window every day that my father was in the Navy during WWII. It's very faded and ragged/delicate and probably I should have it destroyed properly, but I'm not ready to give it up yet. I used to put it in my picture window on very special occasions but it's not in that good enough shape any more.
