My #1 favorite film actor, Gene Hackman's birthday today he's 94
I've liked him for many years, a very talented actor, always enjoy watching any movie he's in. He retired from acting in 2004
I've seen almost all of his movies, have a few favorites I never get tired of watching

Young Frankenstein- an unbilled cameo playing the blind hermit- very funny

He's won 2 Academy Awards, Best Actor for The French Connection,supp actor 'Unforgiven'
He started his acting career at the Pasadena Playhouse in 1956, met fellow actor Dustin Hoffman. They were voted by their fellow actors as 'most unlikely to succeed'. In the 60's were in NYC, roomed with another struggling actor, Robert Duvall
