My husband loves to eat. He’s not overweight but does have a big belly. He looks like a pregnant man. lol. Anyway, when he used to eat before his pants would get too tight and he’d be uncomfortable.

His belt is below his belly. A few months ago he purchased this belt from Costco. He ordered it online.

It was $20 delivered! It doesn’t have to be from Costco. It’s a woven belt make from stretchable material. Now when he eats, he doesnt have to adjust his belt or change pants.

He thought it would be a good thing to share with all you old folks. ☺️

I have two of them from Amazon. They aRe a great belt Patty.

Awww, PP you're so romantic ❤️ 🤗
lol! You’re right. I am. He actually looks more like a big teddy bear. I didn’t mean to be insulting to him personally. I’m just expressing what his body looks like. I’ve read that most men wear excess fat on the belly whereas most women wear it everywhere.
"My Husbands ..." I hope this isn't a Freudian slip :ROFLMAO: The stretchable belt is a good idea.
Haha. Oops. No Freudian slip. One is more than plenty. 😬 I’m sure my husband agrees. lol

Why not a pair of braces or what ever they're called in the US.
We call them "suspenders" over here. I don't have a belly, but wear them instead of a belt. I am a thin person and would have to cinch a belt too tight. So I wear suspenders to prevent putting pressure on the nerves and vessels to the legs, keep the sun from burning the vertical smile and keep the ladies from gasping when I am bent over. I rarely have to pull my pants up and retuck my shirt.

Female body shapes tend to be apples or pears, with the occasional stick girl. Jimb.

My definition of a man who is obsessive and complusive, is a guy who wears BOTH a belt and braces. Jimb.

My guy would not like suspenders at all. He’s a woodworker so doesn’t wear anything that ‘could’ get caught. Plus suspenders wouldn’t suite him.

Our doctor wore suspenders and a belt. The belt was worn about 4 inches above his waistline but it suited him. He had the personality to go with it.

So true. Few women share for the male tummy the enthusiasm we men tend to have for the female distribution of adipose tissue. I also have a bun in my belly. My mature low body weight was 184 pounds. These days I’m usually a pound or two over 190 so I’m in no immanent danger of needing a new wardrobe but I’d have to go lower than 184 to lose the whole belly. So far large shirts are my best fit and my old extra large ones make me look like a kid wearing his dad’s cloths.

Your distribution is such good insulation too. My wife can happily paddle around in glacier melt which would stop me dead.

Please thank your husband for me as I will be looking for one at Costco now.

My husband isn’t overweight either. His chest, arms and legs look very muscular . His belly is the only thing that bloats. I’m actually a tad jealous.

I’m similar to your wife. I’m constantly putting the house temperature down. He just calls me
Na nuck tuk! 😂

He says you’re welcome. ☺️

Through a combination of reducing my caloric intake, plus being hospitalized for 11 weeks last March through May, I dropped 80 pounds of body weight. I went from 280 lbs to 200 lbs. My waist dropped from 50 inches to 38 inches, and my shirt size went from a 3 XL to a men's large. My A1C dropped to 5, and I have maintained it for almost a year now. Even my shoe size got smaller, and my wedding ring now sports a plastic device to keep it from slipping off my finger.

To celebrate my new look, I bought myself a whole new wardrobe including sports clothes, 2 new suits, and dress shirts, and some jazzy Hawaiian tropical shirts. And 4 new pairs of shoes. I just weighed myself, and today I am 198 lbs, which is the least I have weighed since I was 18 years old. I am 175 cm tall. Jimb.

Congratulations on your weight loss. Thats truly a victory. Good job. It must have felt great getting a brand new wardrobe. Cool beans.

You are 4 centimetres taller than me.

Thanks..BUT the 11 weeks in 3 different hospitals was horrible. On February the 28th of 2023, I had a routine blood test, which showed my Hemoglobin was less then 50, which is Super Anemic. The next day at 6am, the blood lab called me, saying "go to the ER right NOW " you need blood transfusion immediately. My wife drove me to the ER at Toronto General. I fell in the parking lot of the ER, breaking 3 bones in my left leg/ankle. That began the marathon.

I was treated for the leg fracture, with orders to "put no weight on it for 6 weeks ". I started to get whole blood transfusions, every other day. Cardio found I was in second degree heart block, so a pacemaker was implanted in the right side of my chest in week 3. Respirology found I had a number of blood clots in both lungs, so they started me on Heparin, the Canadian patented blood thinner medication. Endocrinology got involved due to elevated liver enzymes. My digestion shut down completely, so I was getting enemas every second day, so Gastro was also following me. I am a type 2 diabetic, so I was eating a special diet everyday of only about 1100 calories in total .

I use a CPAP machine for my sleep apnea, so I was placed in an isolation room for 7 weeks during the Covid 19 pandemic. All staff entering my "reverse ventilation " room had to wear gowns, gloves and masks plus spray face shields for my protection. At night, from 8 pm to 6 am I was alone, which was probably the worst part. Being isolated, unable to stand or walk on my broken leg, resulted in me loosing most of my muscle tone over the months I was in bed.

Finally, I was sent to West Park rehabilitation hospital, to work on being able to walk again. Four weeks there, then home on May the 29th of 2023. My weight at discharge was 203 lbs. Today I weigh 198 lbs, 8 months later. Yes I lost a lot of body weight, but it was a hell of a way to do it. Jimb.

Congratulations! I know how you feel. When retired 8 years ago I was at my all time high of 234 ponds. Gradually I lost 50 pounds over my first two years of retirement. We wear the same waist and shirt size now. Went to a wedding while I was at my lowest so I happily started rebuilding the wardrobe. I wouldn’t be at all happy to rebuild in the larger direction so I never want to put on so much weight again.

In high school I weighed 165 pounds and during a particularly active period in my early twenties I got down to 150. Went to see my doctor about lumps. Turned out to be sweat glands. Apparently those aren’t supposed to show. He advised me to eat more. I’m around 5’11” now.

That sounds like a hellish nightmare. I’m sorry for your painful experiences.
I was focussed on the now. It seems like you are doing well now. Maybe that was the universe’s way of saying you need to lose weight. Now you are at a healthy weight with probably good blood presuure/ heart rate etc..
I’m sure you’re grateful to still be here.

When I had a hysterectomy I discovered pregnancy pants - the whole top part was super stretchy. But, probably your husband wouldn't want to wear pregancy pants. :D
😂My husband says thanks but that he already wears semi stretchy pants. He wears semi stretchy jeans and just loves them. They are URBAN Star $22.99 Canadian. They actually look good on him. They look like regular jeans.

Our house i
There we are different. We live in an old poorly insulated warehouse. On those rare cold times I’m the one saying to put on layers while she does her best to heat the whole place and the outdoors too. She has only shown herself to be chill proof in freezing water.
Our house is at 65 degrees both day and night. My husband wears a t shirt underneath a warm plaid shirt. Maybe I’m hot blooded.
