My impromptu beer fridge

I've read that most of Europe serves their beer room temperature. I found this in Quora =

Cooling down a beer actually “weakens” the taste of the beer or more precisely it slightly numbs the tastebuds on your tongue. That’s why it’s normal and accepted to refrigerate pale/light beers compared to darker/stronger more flavorful beers. It’s all about taste, convenience and culture.

Old ideas are often some of the best ideas.

Years ago people in the north used window box coolers to cut down on the ice bill.

@Aunt Bea - A co-worker of mine in CT was very smart. We had a big snow and ice storm and the electricity was out for a few days (I was not affected). She took her frozen food outside and buried it in the snow. Her neighbors lost their food, hers was still good when the electric turned back on. That's an example of ''thinking outside the box".
