My "invigorating" morning....

How on earth did he get into your nightgown??

Who knows? He could have been in bed with me...…

Florida is the land of creepy-crawlies - tiny little frogs and lizards, palmetto bugs (roaches) the size of squirrels (or at least they seem that size when one surprises you). We have tiny little raccoons who can do prodigious feats of destruction and small bears that, thankfully, would rather raid your trashcan than tangle with you. There are iguanas who go into a coma when the weather gets too cold and fall out of trees on peoples' heads.

I could never live there. LMBO!

I'll never forget the time that my sister woke up because she felt something crawling under the covers. She jumped up out of bed and saw a snake crawling on it. I don't know how she didn't suffer a heart attack. She has no idea how that snake got in. I'm glad it was not venomous.

This Komodo Dragon's saliva alone, can kill it's prey it is so full of bacteria.

…..started at about 7:30 a.m. I was wandering around the house in my nightgown when something started "tickling" the middle of my back.

I couldn't reach the "tickle" so I went into the bathroom, pulled off my gown and turned to look in the mirror, thinking I may be breaking out in a rash.

What to my wondering eyes should I see but a tiny green lizard, about 2 inches long including tail. Right in the middle of my back where I couldn't reach it. I yelled for the Spousal Equivalent, who said, "I'm not touching that thing!" (big grown up boy, scared to death of lizards, frogs and snakes). Finally Mr. Lizard jumped off me onto the wall and I chased him around the bathroom til I caught him and repatriated him with his natural habitat.

I'm still giggling.

In Bali, they call the little lizards chee-chaks. When we visited there, we picked that up and call them that here. We get lots of them on our porch roof at night, hunting for bugs attracted by the light. We also have anoles, little green lizards that can puff out their neck in a little display of red. So cute!
Several anoles live on my screened porch. I love watching them play. Latest addition is a tiny baby one.
