My kid's left behind toys

Getting ready to move so starting to clean out some of the junk that has accumulated for 40 years. Found a box of 25 action figure toys that were my son's back in the late 80's. Ask him if he wanted them, he said no. Rather than just pitch them, thought I'd maybe try to see if anyone would be interested in buying them.

Thought I'd be LUCKY to get $75 - $100. Went this morning and met with someone from online, collected $900. Maybe the best investment I've ever made.
 

For 15 years I had a tub of my daughter's Beanie Baby's here that she wanted but would never take. She was on vacation and I took them over to her house and spread them throughout, leaving little spooky notes on them how they "missed her" or "why did you leave us?"

She's been selling them every since! And hasn't shared a nickel of profit with me!
 
I bought a full size horse at an auction for $400.00 and sold it on Ebay for $2900.00.
(It was stretched goatskin over a wooden frame from central Mexico, circa 1900.
and
I bought a livestock brand book at a library book sale for $1.00 and sold it on Ebay for $950.00.
Of course, this doesn't happen everyday.

Would rather have kept the horse but he took up the whole room!

retro toys are worth a Mint, especially if they come with their original boxes

THere is a big difference in price if the figures have all the original accessories, even a bigger difference if they are carded or in the box. I could have probably gotten close to twice what I got if I sold the figures individually and would be willing to ship them. I sold to a local guy and pretty much gave him a wholesale price for cash. I was happy, he was happy. Win-Win.
