My Morning Treat

Since giving up coffee years ago I get my kick with some Blue Diamond Nut-Thins (Smoke House) dipped into a little almond butter. I top it off with 3 or 4 chocolate chips. Each one is about 32 calories mostly from the almond butter.

I try to steer away from process foods but the Nut-Thins are pretty clean.
I make my own almond butter from raw almonds that I buy bulk.
I use Ghirardelli Chocolate Chips (Wal-Mart).

You can buy almond butter at the store but the quality varies and is rancid many of the times. It’s not that hard to make & I do 25 lbs at a time.

Roast nuts.
Run them trough my Omega food juicer producing a meal.
Then through the food processor to produce the butter.
Freeze it in old cottage cheese containers & it last almost a year.

I think it’s a very healthy treat & the chocolate chips give me a little boost before I get going on breakfast.
