My Mother Needs Help Standing Up

My mom is having trouble standing up from her chair. What is the best way to help her stand up? Should I pull her up or should I give her something to grab onto for when I'm not there? Are there any tips for a design that can help her stand up? Thanks!

Check YouTube for videos on seniors learning how to stand with or without help, getting up from the floor, etc...
