In a good way. Sorry if this was not what you expected.
He is a 73 year-old retired dentist who sold his dental practice. He designed his house in our neighborhood almost 30 years ago. He has a few years old Mazda CX-5 as his daily driver. Decent car. Nothing extravagant. It sits out on the street. He uses it for errands.
But in his garage he has a 2022 mid-engine Corvette convertible in red. And a '65 Corvette convertible, also in red.
He also recently bought some type of vintage Chevy muscle car in red and white. It is housed in a storage facility.
He loves to tinker with these cars, and his garage is nicer than our kitchen. I hear his '65 Corvette leave the neighborhood on a Sunday due to its loud exhaust.
I put about 4000 miles per year on my one car, so I can't help but wonder how often he can actually drive these cars. My only thought is that he loves cars, and since vintage cars continue to increase in value he has chosen them as an investment.
