My Neighbor was Poisoned by Fentynal

I have been out of town. Today one of my neighbors told me this about my next door neighbor:
She went to the Wal-Mart in our small community. She needed Tylenol. As she was shopping she saw a bottle of Tylenol on a shelf outside of the medication isle. She picked it up, paid, and left the store.
When she got home she opened it. It didn't look opened but the Tylenol looked different. Unfortunately, she took some!
She went to work. She's a teacher and she started getting sicker and sicker and passed out. She was rushed to the hospital and it was Fentynal that she had taken.
This is what I was told second hand. I haven't spoken with her yet.
My neighbor said the police think it could have been a "drop", meant for someone else to pick up.
Scary or what!!!!

If only we knew who is making it. If only we knew where its coming from. If only we knew how its getting into our country. Sarcasm.

.. waiting at the Mexican border to get into the country ... it all seems to make it's way here without much problem
Sad, but true.

Putting a drop in plain sight on a shelf in Walmart doesn't sound like the brightest way to conduct an drug transaction.
Yeh obviously out of place should raise alarms on all fronts. As a rule I never take the last item on on the shelf or the items at the very front because sometimes store staff places them there to get rid of old or damaged stock. Unless a sealed box I also take off the lid to ensure there's a seal there( which came from the Tylenol poisonings 40 years ago). When I recently didn't I found a disturbed seal but not enough to get a pill through but that means air got in and aged the pills.

This could've been intentional as well to cause trouble. The person could've even bought the bottle and placed the fentynal at home.

The good news the friend is ok because they grains of that stuff can cause issues.

I think this is too much work and hassle for a so called "drop" ....
in some areas south of me people have been warned that so much drug use they have found residue etc on public transit for example.

Perhaps if story is true..... this person could have come into contact another way....... many drug situations they lace even marijuana with fentanyl ....
sounds like an Urban legend type thing....... too many seals/ that would be hard to tamper with on bottles.............. since the real time Tylenol was targeted by a person trying to cover murder of wife by poisoning more bottles.

This sounds like something a small time dealer and addict might do. Leave the bottle out of place so it's noticeable to the addict/person looking for it. Might even be a deal between employees, the "I only sell to friends" dealer left it there.

Seems like the police would have been at her house asking questions. So far no one saw any. They could have done that at the hospital I suppose. No article in the paper that I've seen.
Why am I feeling apprehensive?
I need to wait to talk to my neighbor. I guess I hesitate to take things face value these days after all the sh$& going on these days.
O.J.ruined me first, Murdough second. 😁

I have to say it does sound a little far fetched. Not beyond the realms of possibility but ..it's hard to imagine anyone is going to pick up pills from different area in a supermarket then get them home notice they look diffeent and still take them...then.. nothing is reported to the police , as it seems... hmmmm.. do let us know your findings..

Others bring it…but we buy it.
I've always said that drugs will never go away until we stop taking them. Not you @hollydolly 😊
Seriously. I put Hollywood first and foremost for glamorizing drugs.
Well they actually tie the doctors who were doling out Mother's little helpers for years.
Now they've taken a 180 and people are in honest pain and can't get medication so they turn to heroin.
Don't......get.....me.......started!!!!!!
